How about a wearable inflatable air bag for two-wheeler riders

Although the advantages of wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler cannot be overemphasised, it can be appreciated that sometimes a rider's 180 degree vision is affected because of the helmet's protruding sides. Besides, people like me who have to wear spectacles due to vision problems, things become more difficult. Typically what happens is that while wearing a helmet, we have to take out our specs, put on the helmet and carefully sort of 'insert' our specs ensuring that the arm of the specs pass through the residual space between our ears and the helmet. This I can tell you is difficult to manage as the design of the helmet is such, it exerts pressure at the ear point & so it needs skill to ensure that the spectacle arm rests properly on the ears. Then the visor of the helmet has to be put in place. Because of the routine wear and tear, resulting in scratches, the visor sometimes obstructs vision making matters worse for people with specs. However, contact lens can solve the problem, but most of the people in tropical nations like India, are not comfortable with contacts lens due to dust, grime and pollution levels.

I think companies could think of a redesigning helmets where the confort level of riders wearing helmets enhance, the visor is made totally scratch free and not just scratch resistant.

Alternatively, if a inflatable garment is so dsigned which a rider can keep wearing just like a raincoat which can inflate during accidents, just like airbags in a car inflate during crashes.
